Life lately has been a bit crazy and rushed, I’ve had a lot of things going on which has caused me to be quite stressed and as I suffer from anxiety this is something I really hate feeling. I think part of a healthy lifestyle is knowing when to take time out and when to step away for a bit of quiet me time. I’ve really started to invest time in relaxing and just being me, having a chance to do the things I love like colour and read in the sun and horse ride not only helps to keep my stress levels down and benefit my anxiety but I also find it benefits my whole persona. I find that if I make a little time for relaxing each evening then I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start the day, I am less agitated and I can be more present in the things I am doing.
Part of my goals this year was to lead a less busy life and by taking time out it allows me to slow things down a pace. I am learning that I don’t have to do all those things I feel I have to, I can put a wash on tomorrow, I can send that email later and I can turn off all electrical devices by 9:30 and just sit in bed and read. Its really helped me to just breath and feel like myself again after such a stressful few weeks.
These photos were taken on a nice relaxing walk through the woods in Scotland with my boyfriend. I am currently working on another singing project and we needed to take some photos for that and I decided I wanted them really natural and so in the beautiful surroundings of Scotland on a dog walk seemed like the perfect answer.
