My Christmas Day Outfit

It has become a tradition in my family that on Christmas day, after waking up early to open our stockings from Santa and eating smarties and pain au chocolat for breakfast, we get all dressed up in our glad rags to go to church before sitting down to our Christmas feast. It was a little different this year as we went to visit my Nana, who has alzheimer’s, in the home where she lives instead of going to church, but we still got all dressed up because it’s Christmas! And if you can’t get all dressed up at Christmas when can you?!
This was the perfect dress for Christmas as it was nice and dressy and yet due to the 1950s style still left a lot of room for Christmas dinner, yum yum! I love Cath Kidston print dresses as they fit my shape really well and have the cutest designs especially at Christmas. As soon as I saw this penguin dress I knew it was a winner. The fabric is a more heavy weight fabric so perfect for winter wear and the penguin print is just so sweet. The shoes are a Primark buy and so super comfy. I tend to prefer heels with a strap if I am wearing them during the day and these ones aren’t too high either which I like.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas day! I’m looking forward to new years eve now, so exciting welcoming in the new year and I will be doing it with my soon to be in law family (can’t wait!).
God bless!
